Nb₃Sn superconducting wire
Nb₃Sn superconducting wire is the only superconducting material on the market except Nb-Ti that has been commercialized on a large scale. The main application areas are superconducting magnets with magnetic field strength above 10T and below 20T, such as: High Energy Particle Collider nuclear magnetic resonance Spectrometer (600-1000MHz NMR), Medical nuclear magnetic resonance Imager (7T/9T/14T MRI), Scientific instrument (14T/16T PPMS/MPMS Ouantum Design); 14T/18T superconducting transport test equipment Oxford Instruments), magnetic confinement fusion reactor (China Fusion Engineering Reactor (CFETR TF/CS coil), etc.). This product is Cu, Nb, Sn and Ta four metal composite wire, wound into a coil or cable conductor, after heat treatment into a superconductor. The wire is mainly used in high field superconducting magnet coils.
